About the Company

A well-established commercial general contractor is looking to add 2–3 Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers to its Asheville team. This is an excellent opportunity for construction professionals looking to grow their careers with a reputable GC/CM and work on a strong pipeline of commercial projects.

About the Role

The company is seeking APMs with a minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience and newer PMs with at least 5 years of experience working for a comparable commercial GC/CM. Experience across healthcare, higher education, and K–12 construction is preferred, along with a background in both new construction and renovation projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with or manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Assist with procurement and subcontractor buyout
• Monitor project costs, schedules, quality, and overall performance
• Participate in project meetings and maintain communication with project stakeholders
• Work closely with Superintendents and field teams to support successful project delivery
• Assist with resolving project issues and maintaining client relationships
• Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget

Qualifications

APM

• 3+ years of commercial construction experience
• Experience with a commercial GC or CM
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively across multiple projects and priorities

PM

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience
• Experience with a comparable commercial GC or CM
• Experience managing commercial projects from start to finish
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and subcontractor management

Required Skills

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively across multiple projects and priorities
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and subcontractor management (for PM level)
